Worcestershire Golf Club away day

21 Ladies played Golf at the Worcestershire Golf Club organised by the Lady Captain on Friday 4th June. The weather was glorious and the course was in excellent condition but some of us found putting difficult on the undulating greens. Two of the prize winners were new members to golf but didnt find it daunting playing on a different course. Patricia Baker was the winner with Nicola Robertson coming second losing on the back nine. Nicola also had nearest the pin in two on
a par 4, and Karen Sylvester had nearest the pin on a par 3.

Ladies Section

The Ladies Section is run by a Committee who hold regular meetings to organise and discuss relevant competitions and issues.
The Section organises regular Competitions on a Thursday throughout the year and there is also a Rollup on a Monday morning.
The Ladies field an 'A' Team in the Cotswold & District Golf Alliance which is played off Scratch and also a Team in the Handicap League. The Ladies also play Friendly Matches with other Clubs in the County.
Traditionally there is a pre-season dinner in the Spring and a Trophy Dinner in November. When Covid restrictions are lifted these will recommence.
The Ladies Section likes to make all new members welcome and to join in with all the fun.
